The girls are I were SUPPOSED to be flying to Palm Springs, but dear oh Covid ruined that. Then, Keli got word from Camp Lucy that we could come out and stay there and when I looked the place up I couldn’t believe it! How did I live in Texas and I had never heard of this amazing place! You know I LOVE the hill country! Camp Lucy is actually a wedding venue, but as we found out, great for girl’s trips, and I can’t wait to bring Matthew back. We went Thursday-Sunday which was a great amount of time. We felt like we had plenty of time to relax, have drinks, sleep and do the activities. I even got two workouts in! It was a great experience all around. We loved our rooms, had great quality time together, didn’t have to drive anywhere and really enjoyed the staff!
Things To Do
Lots of relaxing! Bring a book and be prepared to sit outside and enjoy the quiet! It was actually not even very hot when we went which was so nice!
Archery and hatchet throwing are two activities they hold on property. I LOVED THIS! I have never done either, and was so excited to do something different. And, it was super fun to do something out of the ordinary together. Some of my best memories!
Pool time-we went to the pool Friday and Saturday for hours! Order the burger there! We would stay at the pool all afternoon until it was time for a nap or to get ready for dinner!
Hiking-There are three easily trails for hiking around the property (see map below!) But, I felt super comfortable just walking around on my own. I ran some of the hills twice, and just enjoyed walking around and seeing the sights.
Alpaca Feeding- SO SO CUTE! Great for the kids too. This was super fun.
Grape Harvesting-They start harvesting grapes early, like 6am. We didn’t get there until about 8am but we were still able to do a row and then take a million pictures of course! We cut the bunches of grapes and put them into the buckets. We tasted the grapes too! It was an amazing experience. I’ve never been to Napa, so this made me feel like that. I would love to do this again.
Cottages and the Property
We had the chance to stay in two different cottages and they were both amazing! The first one was decorated a little more rustic and close to the campfire for s’mores, whereas the last one was larger, with a patio and a great view and a little more modern in decor. Either way, everything is super walking friendly and close. There is one restaurant on the property, Tillie’s and it was AMAZING for each meal! You HAVE to do the brunch on Sunday mornings! We also ordered lunch at the pool both days and the burgers were amazing!
** Special thanks to Camp Lucy for hosting us for the weekend. All thoughts and opinions are my own**
