Tea Party

I love love love to host parties and wanted to host a tea party before baby Foster came as one last girls day hoorah! I love tea time and when we visited London it was my favorite part of the city! This was the easiest party to get together, not much prepping and not much cleaning or cooking.

I made the sandwiches myself-I used this recipe for dill cucumber sandwiches, and the others are just chicken salad.

The cake was by Ever So Sweet Cakery– huge thanks, it was GORGEOUS!

The cookies are by Okie Doughkie bakery– huge thanks, they were SO cute and SO delish!

Cinnamon scones-my favorite scones ever and super easy to make! Use this recipe!

I mixed and matched my china with my MIL’s, and both Grandmothers which I think added something special for me. You don’t want it to be too matchy-add different colors and patterns!

Flowers-I matched the colors of the flowers in the China.

Drinks- I served champagne, pink lemonade and English breakfast tea with creamer and sugar cubes on the side. Not everyone will drink tea, so have a few drinks to mix it up!

Add some height-I used books from around the house and even the kid’s rooms for under the cake stands to add some dimension.
