HOW-TO: pack for a girls getaway

I’m starting a new how-to series and will answer some questions I get a lot from friends and family, one being how I pack. I’m a really good packer! Next month we go to Colorado for a week with Finley so I’ll do another post on packing for a trip with a babe! Leave me comments if there is something you want to see and I’ll do it!

This Saturday I’m headed to the Golden Nugget Lake Charles for a girls getaway with a few of my friends. It will be lots of relaxing, eating and drinking champs and girl talk!

  1. If I go anywhere overnight I always carry this duffel. I love it for one, and I can carry it cross body.
  2. We are driving so I’m dressing comfy-shoes you can take off etc. Also wear a pair of your shoes that you can wear later on the trip.
  3. When we get there we’re going straight to the pool so my sandals and shirt I wore on the drive will double as my shoes for the pool and my bathing suit coverup.
  4. Pack as light as possible for toiletries. I don’t usually wash my hair on short trips. Actually, I never wash my hair on short trips so I just need dry shampoo, maybe a brush and a few pins and thats it. Bring what you use on a daily basis, don’t try new products or bring extras.
  5. DUH
  6. This clutch doubles as my makeup bag and my night clutch so after you get ready pour out your makeup on the bed and use the clutch for you phone and wallet!
  7. Easy light clothes and comfy heels to wear out. Lots of walking and dancing gonna happen. Note: this is the first pair of shoes that are packed in my bag. *similar dress here by same brand*
  8. PJs. You can roll up your pjs in your bag to save on room.
  9. Going home clothes need to be easy and comfy. Let’s face it, I’m not getting 10 hours of sleep. I want no fuss. These clothes can also be rolled to save on room and two pairs of shoes fit perfectly in this duffle. *grey tank here*
