We love love love living in Houston (minus the weather) and love finding places and things to do with a toddler since we don’t do much sitting. HA. I thought I would write a post on it, since I’m literally ALWAYS looking for places to eat/coffee/free things to do that are toddler friendly. These are things we do frequently if you follow me on Instagram/stories. Do you guys have any places I’m missing?! TELL ME!
DINING & COFFEE
- Tinys No. 5 and Tiny Boxwoods-both have outside grass areas
- Buffalo Grille on Woodway-outside fenced eating area
- Dish Society on San Felipe-huge outside area with furniture
- Good Dog-outside area
- Russo’s downtown-outside fenced area
- Ruggles Green City centre- you can eat while the kids play in the green space
- Heights Bier Garden-yes this is a bar, judge if you want. Huge outside area, kid friendly can bring dogs too!
- FM Kitchen and Bar-very kid friendly, outside area with things to play like huge jenga blocks. Small burgers perfect for the kids!
THINGS TO DO
- Children Museum is AWESOME-go during the week if you can and before 5pm on Thursdays. 5pm-8pm is FREE so I try to miss that craziness.
- Pretty much anything surrounding the green space at City Centre. There’s a yogurt place, Ruggles Green, SWEET for coffee and desserts.
- Pumpkin patch-good for the fall season only! Keeps kids busy and you can bring a coffee and take their pics. We love St. Lukes on Wertheimer. No one is there during the week hardly. We’ve spent a lot of time there recently
- Memorial Park-if you like to run or walk this is what we do: I park my car halfway from the playground. I run to the playground pushing Finley in the jogging stroller. I let him play for about 30 min then we run the rest of the loop. WIN-WIN
